DYNASYLAN 40

DYNASLYAN 40 is an ethyl silicate product used as a binder and hardening component. It has a silicon dioxide content of 40-42% upon complete hydrolysis. DYNASYLAN 40 forms polymeric SiO2 structures during hydrolysis and condensation reactions. These SiO2 structures provide excellent adhesion, chemical and thermal stability to substrates. As a binder, DYNASYLAN 40 improves mechanical properties and durability of coatings. It can be used as a binder for sol-gel coatings to provide high scratch, abrasion and chemical resistance. DYNASYLAN 40 also acts as an effective binder for zinc dust paints used in corrosion protection applications.
