CARBOTHANE PC 3555D is a medical grade polycarbonate-based aliphatic Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) that exhibits excellent oxidative stability in blood contact and provides good mechanical performance. As a polycarbonate-based TPU, CARBOTHANE PC 3555D inherently resists yellowing by aging and sterilization processes common in Advanced Materials industry applications. With a Shore Hardness of 50D, Specific Gravity of 1.15, and Ultimate Tensile Strength of 9700 psi, CARBOTHANE PC 3555D delivers the strength and durability required for long-term use in medical devices and components. Its flexibility also makes it well-suited for applications that undergo flexing and bending stresses.
