SURFYNOL 440

SURFYNOL 440 is a nonionic dynamic wetting agent that can be used as a non-foaming surfactant in various applications. It is a 100% active liquid containing no added alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) or hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). SURFYNOL 440 complies with several regulations for applications requiring food contact approvals. It can be used between 0.1-2% by weight of total formulation. SURFYNOL 440 provides advantages such as low foam surface tension reduction, enabling wetting of low energy substrates and enhancing rapid penetration. It also improves performance in high electrolyte and brine systems. SURFYNOL 440 is suitable for use in waterborne coatings, pressure sensitive adhesives and other applications due its benefits of better substrate wetting, penetration and de-foaming. These properties of SURFYNOL 440 make it useful for coatings and applications were better substrate wetting and penetration is required.
