TROYMAX CALCIUM 8NA is a calcium carboxylate of mixed synthetic organic acids stabilized in a mineral spirits solvent. It functions as a pigment wetting agent to improve the fineness of grind, thus helping to improve hardness and gloss. TROYMAX CALCIUM 8NA also minimizes loss of dry when ground with absorbing pigments. It improves the action of Cobalt driers and is often used in conjunction with them. TROYMAX CALCIUM 8NA assists in the through dry of air-initiated auto-oxidative drying systems. TROYMAX CALCIUM 8NA works synergistically with zinc products to provide heat stability. TROYMAX CALCIUM 8NA is typically used at 0.02% to 0.3% of calcium metal based on resin solids. It can be used as an auxiliary drier, loss of dry inhibitor, pigment wetting/dispersing agent and catalyst for various processes.
