The resultant carbon fiber/resin matrix composites offer high strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratios ideal for applications requiring durability, impact resistance and lightweight properties. As a low-cost alternative, a small portion of certain matrix materials can be replaced with ZOLTEK PX35-13 3MM chopped flake carbon fibers with negligible impact to composite properties, making it a versatile reinforcement additive.
