Hypromellose
Hypromellose is widely used in pharmaceuticals formulations. It is described as partly O-methylated and O-(2-hydroxypropylated) cellulose. Hypromellose is available in several grades that can vary in viscosity and extent of substitution. In an oral solution application, HPMC can be used as a viscosifier agent.
