A-C LDO PE Homopolymer Waxes - Description

Honeywell A-C® homopolymers are a family of synthetic waxes used as additives or modifiers to improve and enhance various performance properties.

In ink formulations, A-C® performance additives can be used to control rheology characteristics. They are also used to modify surface properties such as the coefficient of friction, water resistance, slip & mar, abrasion resistance, block resistance, and gloss.

In coatings formulations, A-C® performance additives can be used to control rheology characteristics, improve pigment suspension, and optimize metal flake orientation. They are also used to modify surface properties such as the coefficient of friction, water resistance, slip & mar, abrasion resistance, block resistance, and gloss.

In adhesives formulations, A-C® performance additives are used to lower melt viscosity (hot melt adhesives), improve adhesion, enhance compatibility, increase heat resistance, improve green strength, control oil and plasticizer bleed, reduce processing and set times

In plastics applications, A-C® performance additives are used to lower die head pressures, increase overall lubricity and metal release, lower melt temperatures, and increase gloss. They are also utilized in color masterbatch applications to increase pigment loading, promote uniform pigment dispersion, broaden pigment/filler compatibility, and increase chroma.

More information about A C LDO PE Homopolymer Waxes

A-C® 629: Low density Oxidized Polyethylene (LDOxPE) homopolymer in prill form for use in solvent borne coatings as a rheological aid. It also finds use as a metal release agent in PVC. It can also be atmospherically emulsified for use in aqueous applications, such as textiles, lubricants, coatings and inks, to lower the coefficient of friction (COF) and provide surface properties such as mar & abrasion resistance and increased slip.

A-C® 629A: Low density Oxidized Polyethylene (LDOxPE) homopolymer in prill form for use in solvent borne coatings as a rheological aid. It also finds use as a metal release agent in PVC. It is a pigment dispersing agent for color masterbatch applications. It can also be atmospherically emulsified for use in aqueous applications, such as textiles, lubricants, coatings and inks, to lower the coefficient of friction (COF) and provide surface properties such as mar & abrasion resistance and increased slip.

A-C® 656: Low density Oxidized Polyethylene (LDOxPE) homopolymer in prill form for use in solvent borne coatings as a rheological aid. Its lower hardness makes it optimum for pourable or pumpable rheological dispersions. It can also be atmospherically emulsified for use in aqueous applications, such as textiles, lubricants, coatings and inks, to lower the coefficient of friction (COF) and provide surface properties such as mar & abrasion resistance and increased slip.

A-C® 680: Low density Oxidized Polyethylene (LDOxPE) homopolymer in prill form for use in solvent borne coatings as a rheological aid. It can also be atmospherically emulsified for use in aqueous applications, such as textiles, lubricants, coatings and inks, to lower the coefficient of friction (COF) and provide surface properties such as mar & abrasion resistance and increased slip. It can also be used as an anti transpirant coating to delay fruit spoilage allowing longer storage and transport times. It also finds use as a metal release agent in PVC.

A-C® 6702: Grease like, low temperature, completely amorphous, Low density Oxidized Polyethylene (LDOxPE) Homopolymer which can be emulsified for use in aqueous systems, for applications such as mold release and lubricants.
