Lubricant Emulsifier Package
ADDCONATE H - Description
ADDCONATE H is a highly branched succinic acid derivative (Polyisobutylene succinic anhydride or PIBSA) and can be neutralized with metal hydroxides or alkanolamines to perform as a primary or secondary emulsifier. ADDCONATE H is based on proven technology that has been in use for over 30 years. Unlike natural sulfonate, it is produced in a continuous reaction process and is readily available.
ADDCONATE H is supplied in acid form and must be neutralized to function as an emulsifier. When replacing some or all sodium sulfonate in a metalworking fluid, it may be necessary to modify your formulation. Additional additives to improve emulsion bloom and rust protection may be required.
