Ancamine Aliphatic Amines - Description

Aliphatic amines are multifunctional amines with primary, secondary or tertiary amine functions linked by ethylene groups.  The Ancamine line of aliphatic amine curing agents also include products which have been modified to improve properties such as pot life and viscosity. Modifications include adduction and condensation reactions (Mannich bases).  A wide range of products are offered with differing properties including:

  • High reactivity
  • Fast cure at ambient or low temperatures
  • Relatively moisture insensitive
  • Reasonable color and color retention
  • Good chemical resistance, particularly to solvents
  • In heat-cure applications - good elevated-temperature performance, very good chemical resistance, and electrical and mechanical properties.

Ancamine 1922A HP: Ancamine 1922A curing agent is a low viscosity, moderately reactive room temperature curing agent for epoxy resins.

Ancamine 2410B75:
Ancamine 2410B75 curing agent is a 75% solids, highly monodispersed adduct of a polyamine and liquid epoxy resin cut in butanol and is designed for use in coatings and related applications.

Ancamine 2410-IPA-75:
Ancamine 2410 curing agent is a highly monodispersed adduct of ethylene diamine (EDA) designed for use in coatings and related applications.

Ancamine 2481:
Ancamine 2481 curing agent is a modified aliphatic amine intended for use with liquid epoxy resins. Ancamine 2481 curing agent imparts rapid cure and development of physical properties at ambient and low temperatures. It yields formulations with excellent film appearance. Compared with other fast cure hardeners, it has very good amine blush resistance, even at low temperatures. These properties make Ancamine 2481 curing agent ideal for formulating flooring, mortars and high-solids coatings. It is also an effective accelerator for other curing agents in epoxy formulations.

Ancamine 2609W:
Ancamine 2609W curing agent is a nonyl phenol free aliphatic polyamine Mannich base curing agent designed for use with liquid epoxy resin. It is of low viscosity, moisture tolerant and reactive at low temperatures (~5°C). Ancamine 2609W will react with liquid epoxy resins at low temperature and high humidity to produce a chemical resistant surface coating.

Ancamine 2684:
Ancamine 2684 by Evonik is a modified aliphatic amine hardener for room temperature cure of epoxy resins. Offers rapid cure, excellent adhesion, low viscosity and low color. It is used in flooring and coating applications. Recommended dosage level of Ancamine 2684 is 28 phr with EEW=190. It has a shelf life of 24 months.

Ancamine 2814:
Ancamine 2814 curing agent is a modified aliphatic amine curing agent intended for use with liquid epoxy resin cured at ambient or elevated temperature.

Ancamine 2850:
Ancamine 2850 is a modified polyamine intended for use as a curing agent for diluted liquid epoxy resin at ambient and low temperature application. Ancamine 2850 is free of nonyl phenol and benzyl alcohol, facilitating in low volatile organic component coating and flooring formulations.
