Artic Mist - Description
Artic Mist is off-white, high purity, extremely platy, very fine talc, recommended for excellent stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability as well as improved impact strength and aesthetics in high performance plastics, plastic nucleation, foamed plastics, plastic films, and wire and cable applications.
Artic Mist is used in plastics applications mainly for nucleation of semi-crystalline plastics, for foamed plastics or other applications where a high-performance powder talc is desired, while its compacted version, JetFil 625C is commonly used for reinforcement in polyolefins, including in automotive and appliances.
Artic Mist is used in rubber applications as a reinforcing agent and processing aid. It also improves cut/tear resistance, reduces permeability, increases swell resistance and improves the aging properties of rubber compounds.
