Bayhydrol® UV

Urethane Acrylate Dispersions for Waterborne UV Curable Coatings & Inks

Bayhydrol® UV - Description

Bayhydrol® UV urethane acrylate dispersions are used in the formulation of aqueous UV-curing coatings and inks. Bayhydrol® UV urethane acrylate dispersions are used in the formulation of aqueous UV-curing coatings and inks. Their key property is their similarity to conventional PU coatings so that similar goals can be achieved using similar application methods at similar or faster drying times. UV-curing polyurethane dispersions combine fast curing with excellent coating properties.

More information about Bayhydrol® UV

Bayhydrol® UV 2280: Very good initial physical drying and particularly good for pigmented UV-curing coatings systems. Used in the formulation of aqueous UV-curing coatings, especially for application on wood/wood materials. Bayhydrol® UV 2280 is also characterized by its good adhesion on many metallic substrates.

Bayhydrol® UV 2282: Well-balanced property profile and good adhesion on various plastics. Bayhydrol® UV 2282 is easily matted down using standard matting agents. Can be used in the formulation of high quality waterborne UV-curing wood coatings, that will normally pass the DIN 68 861-1B norm.

Bayhydrol® UV 2317: Good re-emulsification properties and high wet film transparency. Bayhydrol® UV 2317 is easily matted using standard matting agents. It also has good adhesion on many metallic substrates.

Bayhydrol® UV 2317/1: Used in the formulation of physically drying aqueous UV-curing coatings. Clear lacquers based on this product are characterized by their good re-emulsification properties and high wet film transparency. Bayhydrol® UV 2317/1 does not contain intentionally added organotin compounds. It also has good adhesion on many metallic substrates.

Bayhydrol® UV 2689/2: Anionic, UV-curable polyurethane dispersion used in the formulation of industrial waterborne UV clear and pigmented coatings. The main applications are plastic coatings (e.g mobile phones) and wood coatings. Before UV curing the surface of dried films is soft and slightly tacky. After UV-cure the coatings are hard with high chemical and mechanical resistance. The product is suitable to achieve high gloss coatings. Bayhydrol® UV 2689/2 can be easily matted using common matting agents. The formulation of metallic effect coatings using suitable metallic pigments is also possible.

Bayhydrol® UV 2720/1: Anionic, UV-curable polyurethane dispersion used for the formulation of waterborne UV coatings for industrial coating applications that require good blocking resistance after water evaporation and before UV cure (wood, plastic, pigmented systems). As a thermoformable product it is an ideal solution for post-formable coatings.
