Dekaben IU is a pure form of Imidazolidinyl Urea and is a very suitable antibacterial preservative for a wide range of cosmetic formulations. It is very water-soluble and is compatible with almost all cosmetic raw materials. It has a pronounced effect against bacteria, such as the Pseudomonas aeruginosa. To maximise efficacy over a broad spectrum, Dekaben IU can be synergistically combined with fungicides.
