Desmodur® VP LS 2371 is an aliphatic polyisocyanate prepolymer based on isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI). It is suitable as a binder for elastic coatings and surface sealing compounds for structural protection.

- Desmodur® VP LS 2371 can be combined with latent hardeners (Bisoxazolidin)in the formulation of moisture-curing coatings.
- Due to the polyether structure of this product, the resultant films are largely resistant to hydrolysis.
- However, if used outdoors, suitable light stabilizers must be added to counter the effects of sunlight.
- As with any product, use of Desmodur® VP LS 2371 in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
