KELTROL F is a 200-mesh food-grade xanthan gum suitable for use in food preparations where rapid hydration is required. 



  • Imparts high solution viscosity at low gum concentrations

  • Has pseudoplastic rheology profile (e.g., is shear thinning)

  • Exhibits little solution viscosity change over a wide temperature range compatible with and stable in solutions containing high salt concentrations

  • Soluble and stable in both acid and alkaline conditions

  • Hydrates faster than standard 80-mesh grades when well dispersed

  • Provides excellent suspension for insoluble solids and oil droplets

  • Provides freeze-thaw stability

  • Exhibits low viscosity while processing (e.g., pumping)

  • Fully recovers viscosity after shearing

  • Shows synergism with guar and locust bean gum for use in a wide range of thickening applications

  • Helps provide excellent suspension for insoluble solids and oil droplets

  • Performs well in dry mixes where rapid hydration with minimal mixing is required
