- Imparts high solution viscosity at low gum concentrations
- Has pseudoplastic rheology profile (e.g., is shear thinning)
- Exhibits little solution viscosity change over a wide temperature range
- Compatible with and stable in solutions containing high salt concentrations
- Soluble and stable in both acid and alkaline conditions
- Exhibits synergistic increase in viscosity when used with guar and locust bean gum
- Free-flowing; low dusting; more dispersible than standard 80-mesh grades
- Hydrates approximately 3-5 times slower than standard xanthan gum
- Provides excellent suspension for insoluble solids and oil droplets
- Provides freeze-thaw stability
- Exhibits low viscosity while processing (e.g., pumping)
- Fully recovers viscosity after shearing
- Reduces dust exposure, which minimizes industrial hygiene issues, slipping hazards, and improves general housekeeping
- Disperses well in low shear applications
- Allows for delay in viscosity development of a solution
- Kosher and Halal approved
