KELTROL T 630 is a clarified food-grade xanthan gum that has improved stability in low pH systems, shows enhanced interaction with galactomannans, and hydrates faster in salt solutions than standard xanthan gum. 



  • Provides clear solutions

  • Imparts high solution viscosity at low gum concentrations

  • Has pseudoplastic rheology profile (e.g., is shear thinning)

  • Exhibits little solution viscosity change over a wide temperature range

  • Compatible with and stable in solutions containing high salt concentrations

  • Has improved stability in acidic conditions compared to standard xanthan

  • Exhibits a greater synergistic increase in viscosity when used with guar and locust bean gum than is achieved with standard xanthan gum

  • Hydrates faster in the presence of salts and acid relative to standard xanthan

  • Can be used in applications where high clarity is desired

  • Provides excellent suspension for insoluble solids and oil droplets

  • Provides freeze-thaw stability

  • Exhibits low viscosity while processing (e.g., pumping)

  • Can improve shelf life stability of low pH products

  • Improved hydration characteristics may shorten batching times and/or provide added flexibility with respect to order of addition
