Mistron 353 - Description
Mistron 353 is used in formulations for interior and exterior coatings, adhesives and sealants to reduce hard settling, improve sag resistance and maximize prime pigment extension. Mistron 353 is used in solid color and semi-transparent wood stains to prevent tannin bleed and improve gloss uniformity without introducing abrasive characteristics.
Mistron 353 acts as a reinforcing agent to enhance compound performance by increasing film strength and flexibility. Mistron 353 has a platy, hydrophobic structure used in architectural and industrial primers to improve barrier properties which impart corrosion resistance and stain blocking ability.
Mistron 353 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.
