PEG 1000, PEG 1450, PEG 3350, PEG 8000 - Description
High molecular weight Kollisolv ® PEGs can be used to create anhydrous, hydrophilic ointments in combination with lower molecular weight PEGs. They also be used to adjust the viscosity of liquid pharmaceutical preparations and ointments, to modify their absorption properties and to stabilize the preparation. Certain grades are also suitable as matrix components in suppositories, specifically PEG 8000.
