Polymac WR Saturated Polyesters - Description
Polymac® water reducible resins are produced by the same synthetic process as other polyesters. Careful raw material selection provides for the introduction of acid functionality on the polymer backbone, which allows the resin to be thinned with water. The acid functionality can also be used to produce fast-curing enamels without the use of external catalysts. These water reducible polyesters are generally used in low VOC baking enamels. Coatings made with polyester resins are known for high chemical resistance, excellent weatherability, high hardness, and high abrasion resistance.

Polymac WR 72-7203 is a HAPS free water reducible polyester for industrial baking enamels. Coating systems based on this resin exhibit excellent color and color retention, hardness and flexibility as well as good adhesion and mar resistance. Water reducible coating enamels formulated with this resin are suitable for interior and exterior applications.
