SYN-ESTER SE-115 - Description
SYN-ESTER SE-115 is inactive to copper at 212°F(100°C). It is also light in color and low in odor, and as such, is an excellent replacement for sulfurized fats, esters and olefins, whether they are active or inactive sulfur containing products. SYN-ESTER SE-115 was designed to totally replace chlorinated extreme pressure additives in industrial cutting oils and water reducible soluble oils and semi-synthetics. This product is particularly useful for machining stainless steels and other hard steels, such as Hastalloy and tool steels. SYN-ESTER SE-115 also provides excellent friction modification properties, which makes the product suitable for many industrial lubrication applications.
SYN-ESTER SE-115 is ideally suited for use in straight oils where high load bearing performance is required. SYN-ESTER SE-115 is soluble in all naphthenic oils. Solubility in paraffinic oils depends on the particular oil selected, ester concentration, oil viscosity and the degree of hydrotreatment. SYN-ESTER SE-115 contains no chlorine or phosphorous.

- SYN-ESTER SE-115 replaces chlorine on a part for part basis. For example, if a formulation contains 10% of a 60% chlorinated paraffin, similar extreme pressure performance can be achieved using 6% SYN-ESTER SE-115.
