Vertal 202 - Description
Vertal products are highly lamellar talc mineral pigments that provide a unique balance of opacity, flatting, film reinforcement and barrier properties to architectural paints and universal/stain-blocking primers. They can also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agents to improve stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability.
Vertal 202 is a highly lamellar talc/carbonate mineral pigment which provides a unique balance of prime pigment spacing (opacity), flatting efficiency, film reinforcement, anticracking and barrier properties for architectural and decorative coatings. Vertal 202 is recommended in architectural flat latex paints, contractor-grade flat latex paints, and high %PVC applications where a higher brightness, 2-hegman, lamellar mineral pigment is required.
Vertal 202 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.
