Vertal 92 - Description
Vertal products are highly lamellar talc mineral pigments that provide a unique balance of opacity, flatting, film reinforcement and barrier properties to architectural paints and universal/stain-blocking primers. They can also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agents to improve stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability.
Vertal 92 is off-white, extremely platy talc that is primarily used as a functional mineral pigment in auto bodycompounds, caulks, putties and sealants.
Vertal 92 is also used as a dusting/parting agent in rubber compounding and for rubber goods, rolled asphalt, and concrete forms. It could also be used as a cost-effective reinforcing agent in black polypropylene compounds to improve stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability.
