ALBIFLEX 348 is an epoxy-silicone copolymer, serves as a versatile base resin for formulating elastic coatings, offering multifaceted benefits across various applications. It functions as an effective additive for elastifying conventional, brittle epoxy resins, imparting exceptional adhesion on diverse substrates, high mechanical strength, and commendable chemical resistance. Notably, it exhibits high elasticity even at low temperatures, excellent aging resistance, and superior dielectric properties. Compatible with a wide range of epoxy hardeners including aliphatic and cycloaliphatic amines, polyaminoamides, acid anhydrides, dicyandiamide, as well as catalytic hardeners such as tertiary amines, imidazoles, and BF3 complexes. Its reactivity with aliphatic amines, weather resistance with cycloaliphatic amines, flexibility through longer-chain polyaminoamides or ether diamines, and excellent electrical values with cycloaliphatic acid anhydrides.
