KELTROL TF

KELTROL TF is a clarified 200-mesh food-grade xanthan gum suitable for use in applications requiring both rapid hydration and high clarity. KELTROL TF provides clear solutions and imparts high solution viscosity at low gum concentrations with pseudoplastic rheology profile. It exhibits little solution viscosity change over a wide temperature range and is compatible with and stable in solutions containing high salt concentrations. KELTROL TF is soluble and stable in both acid and alkaline conditions and exhibits synergistic increase in viscosity when used with other thickeners. KELTROL TF hydrates faster than standard grades when well dispersed. KELTROL TF performs well in dry mixes where rapid hydration with minimal mixing is required. It provides excellent suspension for insoluble solids and droplets, freeze-thaw stability and fully recovers viscosity after shearing. KELTROL TF is typically used at a level of 0.05 - 0.5 wt%.
