Vertal 7 - Description
Vertal 7 is a highly lamellar talc/carbonate mineral pigment.
Vertal 7 provides a unique balance of prime pigment spacing (opacity), film reinforcement, and anti-cracking and barrier properties to architectural and decorative coatings. Vertal 7 is especially suited for waterborne paints, universal primers, stain-blocking primers, sealers and undercoaters. Vertal 7 is also a good choice for low-VOC alkyd primers.
Vertal 7 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.
