IMCD US initiative delivers 1,046 backpacks filled with food for children in need
US employees donate nearly $6,300 as part of its Americas 10-year anniversary celebration
The year 2023 marks a milestone year for IMCD in the Americas region. As part of IMCD US’ celebration of 10 years of doing business in the Americas, the company decided to support the important cause of helping families address food insecurity for children. Employees raised funds for an IMCD US initiative called #IMCDFood4Kids backpack program, which delivers free groceries for children in need. The backpacks provide enough easy-to-prepare food to make a few kid-friendly meals for weekend and school breaks.
“It is truly inspiring to see the generosity and passion of our employees across our locations in the United States, which enabled the donation of 1,046 backpacks with food for kids in need,” said Jean-Paul Scheepens, President, IMCD US. “I am proud to be part of this team that is making such a positive impact in the community.”
IMCD US partnered with the following nonprofit organizations to safely deliver the food to the local communities:
Greater Cleveland Food Bank in Cleveland, Ohio
Regional Food Bank in Los Angeles, California
Center for Food Action in Englewood, New Jersey
“Thank you to all who supported the #IMCDFood4kids program and made this possible,” added Scheepens.
