SURFYNOL 118

SURFYNOL 118 is a very compatible, formulated molecular defoamer based on Gemini surfactant technology. It can be used for a wide variety of applications where pinhole elimination, macro-, and micro-foam control is needed without causing any film defects. SURFYNOL 118 prevents pinholes and solvent popping in bake coatings while maintaining surface appearance. It increases wet film thickness that can be applied without film defects due to the combination of defoaming and deaeration properties. SURFYNOL 118 is highly suitable for sensitive waterborne formulations and helps flow promotion, defoaming, reduction of static surface tension and reduction of dynamic surface tension. It is 100% active and low viscous liquid with 100% organic based Gemini molecular defoamer chemistry. SURFYNOL 118 is silicone- and silica-free, APEO- and tin-free.
