BAYTEC ENC 5003

BAYTEC ENC 5003 is a low functionality polymeric diphenylmethane diisocyanate (pMDI) with a moderately high 2,4 '-MDI isomer content. It has a NCO content of 32.1-33.1 wt.% and maximum acidity of 0.07 wt.%. BAYTEC ENC 5003 exhibits viscosity of 20 mPas at 25°C and appears as a brown liquid with specific gravity of 1.24 at the same temperature. It has a flash point above 93 °C. BAYTEC ENC 5003 can be used in the production of cast materials for encapsulation applications requiring urethane bonding agents. It is suitable for encapsulating electrical components due to its properties. BAYTEC ENC 5003 allows formulating adhesives for bonding applications in various industries including advanced material sector, thanks to its reactivity. However, it needs to be tested for specific end use to check suitability. BAYTEC ENC 5003 must be stored between 21° to 30°C for maximum six months shelf life in tightly closed containers away from moisture and other contaminants.
