SURFYNOL 420

SURFYNOL 420 is a nonionic dynamic wetting agent and molecular defoamer that can be used in a variety of applications including waterborne coatings. It is a 100% active, easy-to-handle liquid that contains no added alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) or hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). SURFYNOL 420 provides advantages like low-foam dynamic surface tension reduction which enables wetting of low-energy and/or contaminated substrates, enhancing rapid penetration of absorbent substrates. These properties make SURFYNOL 420 suitable for applications in the coatings and construction industry where it can improve the performance of waterborne coatings by aiding substrate wetting and penetration. SURFYNOL 420 also provides defoaming and de-airentraining which can benefit coatings and concrete formulations.
