CATALYST 1786B is a solution of the p-toluenesulphonate salt of 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol in butan-1-ol. It is designed as a catalyst that permits reduction of the stoving temperature at which epoxy/phenol-formaldehyde resins, epoxy/urea-formaldehyde, and epoxy/melamine-formaldehyde resins undergo cure.
