DESMOCAP 12 A

DESMOCAP 12 A is a linear polyurethane prepolymer with crosslinking blocked isocyanate groups from Covestro. As a raw material for the flexibilisation of building materials and in the formulation of flexible protective coatings and sealants. DESMOCAP 12 A yields softer and more flexible systems than DESMOCAP 11 A. It can be used to formulate curable, liquid, solvent-free polyurethane systems providing flexibility and durability in protective coatings. The polyamines normally used with epoxy resins are suitable curing agents. When combined with epoxy resins, DESMOCAP 12 A takes over the function of the reactive flexibiliser. As with any product, use of DESMOCAP 12 A in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
